NIDS participated in observation of National Election which was held on 10th April, 2008 with the help of National Election Observation Committee(NEOC).

March 2007
A one-day Assessment Programme was conducted at Pashupati Nath Temple, Gaushala to assess situation of houses that were affected by the flooding. The locals there described that various unmanaged wastes from the offerings block the Water outlets of the bridge and rust an improper management may have resulted in the flooding.

17th June - 1st August, 2007

Participatory Vulnerability Analysis was conducted from 17th June, 2007 to 24th June at Baneshwore, Ward No 34 and from 26th June, 2007 to 1st August, 2007 at Chabahil, Ward No 7. A total of  32 women took part in the Analysis and Training and benefited.

May - November 2007
NIDS organized a six-month long PVA Awareness Programme for educating women and students groups about disasters and various income generating works for home makers (like Beauty Parlour training, making bangles and knitting works). A total of about 500 students and women benefited from the programme.
